Then Glen Lake Book Club meets the third Friday of each month at the Glen Arbor Town Hall. Books and discussion leaders are chosen several times a year from attendee recommendations. Lakeshore Readers meets the last Wednesday morning of each month at 10:15 am at the Glen Lake community Library meeting room on Front Street in Empire. The group has been meeting for about fifteen years and includes men and women of varied insights and backgrounds. The group welcomes newcomers, those visiting for the summer or newly settled in our community for this adds to our discussion backgrounds and variety of books chosen. The books chosen are a mix of fiction and nonfiction, new authors and classics. titles chosen are on display at the library and at The Cottage Book Shop. It is considered a fun group with the only requirement being to have read the book.
