Description
Traverse City photographer Dietrich Floeter's duotone photographs capture the essence of fifty cozy lake cottages. Paired with Barbara Siepker's captivating historical and personal narratives they illustrate the important role cottages played in northern Michigan in the first half of the twentieth century. It is a nostalgic story of bygone years when summer residents fled the cities to breathe clear air. Winner of Michigan Historical Society Award and a Michigan Notable Book in 2008.
